We are looking for a Development Manager & Grant Researcher (Commission-Based for the first 3 months - possible retainer after the first period) Animal Tracks is a small, mission-driven wildlife sanctuary dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and educating the public about exotic animals. As we expand our fundraising and donor efforts to support our sanctuary operations, we’re looking for a passionate, motivated individual to help us grow. About the Role We are seeking a Development Manager / Grant Researcher to work on a commission basis, helping us identify, pursue, and secure new sources of funding. This role is ideal for nonprofit management or development students/recent graduates looking for meaningful experience, or for experienced fundraisers seeking an impactful side project. A commission of 8–12% of funds raised will be offered depending on experience and results. After the first month, we are open to discussing a small monthly retainer for ongoing hours. Responsibilities • Research and identify grant opportunities • Draft and submit grant applications (with support from our team) • Reach out to potential donors, sponsors, and partners • Assist with fundraising campaigns and events • Expand our donor base and cultivate long-term relationships • Maintain organized records of outreach and submissions What We Provide • All materials you need: presentation decks, texts, background info • Support from our staff on applications and outreach • A flexible, mission-driven environment • The chance to make a real difference for rescued wildlife • Free sanctuary visits for you, your friends & family • Lots of unforgettable playtime with the animals (once they get to know you!)
