BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field. MSME a Plus. • 3 to 10 years of professional hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering • Experience with definition and implementation of test automation • Experience with the use of off-the-shelf mechanical test equipment • Experience with test execution, data collection and analysis • Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations. • Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites. • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. • Background checks are required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience with thermal, vibration, and stress analysis and verification/validation • Experience with Python or other programming languages for data analysis, automation, or test scripting RESPONSIBILITIES: • Design novel hardware solutions and custom fixtures • Build new mechanical designs and define validation requirements • Create test cases and design/implement tests • Clearly communicate test plans and results with XFN teams • Support mechanical tester bring up and FA activities • Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of mechanical system level validation work status and results • Ensure thorough documentation of test procedures and results • Continuously improve testing methodologies and infrastructure • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical issues Why join the Andrews Cooper team?
