Lead planning, financial oversight, risk management, and communication for large-scale data center projects from inception through handover.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 7+ years managing large-scale data center or infrastructure projects, professional project management certification, and advanced proficiency in scheduling and cost-tracking tools.
Senior Data Center Project Manager About The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Data Center Project Manager to lead the planning, financial oversight, and risk management of large-scale, mission-critical data center projects. This role is designed for a proven project leader who can transform bold capacity goals into detailed execution plans, ensuring complex builds are delivered safely, on time, and on budget. You will act as the central hub of communication between design, construction, procurement, and leadership teams—keeping projects on track from inception through handover. What You’ll Do • Drive Project Schedules: Develop and manage integrated schedules covering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. • Manage Budgets & Forecasts: Oversee project budgets, track cash flows, and govern change orders; report weekly KPIs to stakeholders. • Guide Design Reviews: Facilitate phase-gate reviews and 30/60/90% design checkpoints, maintaining clear RACI matrices and action logs. • Oversee Contracts: Manage RFP processes, bid evaluations, contract awards, potential change order (PCO) tracking, and close-out documentation. • Mitigate Risks: Identify critical-path dependencies and long-lead procurement risks (e.g., switchgear, chillers, transformers) and implement mitigation strategies. • Streamline Communication: Serve as the authoritative source of truth for internal leadership and external partners by publishing clear, concise status reports. About You • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline. • 7+ years of experience managing large-scale data center, industrial, or infrastructure projects. • Professional certifications such as PMI-PMP or PRINCE2 are highly desirable. • Deep understanding of CSA and MEP construction phases, procurement processes, and cost management practices. • Advanced proficiency in scheduling (P6/Project), cost-tracking (Procore, Ares, Excel), and collaboration platforms (Smartsheet, Confluence). • Strong communication skills—capable of engaging with both executives and trade partners confidently. • Willingness to be based at project sites for the full duration of construction and delivery. Why This Role Matters Data centers are at the heart of global digital infrastructure, and the success of these builds depends on precise planning and flawless execution. As Senior Project Manager, you will ensure ambitious capacity goals become tangible results, balancing cost, quality, and speed while mitigating risks along the way. Your work will directly influence the reliability of next-generation computing environments worldwide. Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary with equity opportunities. • Retirement or pension plan, aligned with local standards. • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage. • Generous paid time off policy, consistent with regional norms.
