The UX Data Analyst will conduct thorough data analysis to understand user interactions on the website and improve user experience. They will also maintain an A/B Testing program and communicate insights to influence site improvements.
The ideal candidate should have 4-7 years of e-commerce experience and a strong understanding of quantitative data analysis and Google Analytics. They should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with various teams.
What are we looking for? We are looking for a passionate, curious, and self-driven quantitative expert. Specifically, the ideal candidate is someone with ample e-commerce experience who demonstrates a keen understanding of how CRO drives revenue. This individual must have a deep comprehension of Google Analytics and the Shopify ecosystem to tell a story around user experience through a data-driven lens. We are looking for a team player who is able to work cross functionally alongside UX designers & developers to properly tag events, track user flows, and evaluate site performance in reference to identified key performance indicators. This individual must display a true passion for user behavior, and must understand heuristics & best practices as they pertain to optimizing user experience. The core competency of this individual must be rooted in data, analyzing it, pulling insights from it, and most importantly ensuring its accuracy/integrity. Furthermore, this individual must be able to expertly craft a narrative around the data they are working with, both in presentation reports and verbal presentation to stakeholders. Conduct thorough data analysis to draw out insights into how our users are interacting with the website, moving from page to page. This requires Google Analytics & Shopify expertise. Journey mapping and funnel analysis, understand and improve how users are moving through the funnel, how to solve for high abandonment/bounce. Draw qualitative insights about user experience from quantitative data. Event tagging, working with developers to tag interactive elements of the site that users will engage with to ensure data accuracy and visibility into user experience. Maintain a high-velocity robust A/B Testing program, establishing clear strategic hypotheses tied to our goals and success metrics. Also, measuring and reporting on the impact of tests/changes to site experience lead to improvements in website performance. Skillfully identify and translate key findings into insights and communicate recommendations to clients to influence site improvements. Ideal qualifications 4-7 years of experience in e-commerce Understanding of quantitative data analysis, statistics and data visualization. Expertise in Google Analytics, the Shopify ecosystem, and various A/B Testing software platforms Understanding of best practice approach to design experimentation: proposing hypotheses and testing design iterations to learn about users and site experience. The ability to create effective reports, present those reports, and to leverage tools that properly derive insights from user data. Knowledge of best practices for user-centered design process and design thinking strategies. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and in working with multiple clients. Ability to create artifacts such as prototypes, wireframes, user flows, wireflows to communicate ideas internally and externally. Experience working across functional teams like development, design, and project management to deliver successful outcomes.
