Overview AmTrust Worker's Comp Claims is hiring a position for Director, WC Claims Zonal Operations. These positions can be based in an office or remotely. Positions work closely with the Worker's Comp leadership team and reports directly to the Head of WC Claims Operations. The role will involve a strong focus on initiatives championed by the WC Claims national and zonal leadership. These individuals will directly lead improvements, including development and execution of continuous improvement to the operating model, as well as maintaining consistency and process change initiatives. The Director will also be charged with execution of priorities as defined by the Worker's Comp strategic plan and to elevate Zonal KPI performance. The individuals are expected to display a high degree of focus on driving projects to completion while building relationships with stakeholders. The salary range for this role is $120-165K per year. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be modified in the future Those within a 50 mile radius of an AmTrust office will be expected to abide by a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities • Providing operational leadership in Worker's Comp claims including: • State compliance • Regulatory at the zonal level • Fines and penalty management • Identify improvement opportunities in adherence to claim best practices, total cost of claims, and regulatory compliance; develop processes to positively impact the results in each of these areas. • Coordinate Zonal efforts with Learning & Development to identify training needs, creation of training modules, and implementation of training. • Coordination of regulatory audits in jurisdictions • Timely execution of assign projects and initiatives • Monthly zonal business reviews, ability to prepare presentation documents and present to Executive leadership. • Leadership and project management of national projects • Providing mentoring and coaching of direct reports Qualifications Qualifications: Required: • 7+ years in Claims and a working knowledge of WC claims • Demonstrated leadership to interact collaboratively and work effectively with a multi-functional team and throughout the organization; fosters an environment of shared responsibility and accountability • Prior leadership experience • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Willingness to work extended hours when occasions demand • Ability to travel, nationally, up to 30% of the time • Bachelor's degree Location can be office-based or remote, but convenient to the assigned geographic zone.
