Title: Government Finance & Compliance Manager Location: Houston, TX(Remote) Duration: Full Time Role Overview We are seeking an energetic and forward-thinking Government Finance & Compliance Manager to lead our government contract accounting functions. This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements and U.S. Government Accountability Office Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), while driving modernization through automation, technology adoption, and process improvement. You will oversee billing, vendor payments, inventory accounting, and all systems supporting government contracts, with a hands-on approach and deep expertise in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel. Key Responsibilities Manage government contract billing, including Provisional Billing Rates and Incurred Cost Submissions. Oversee vendor payments, purchase order approvals, and inventory-related accounting. Assemble and maintain complete audit-ready documentation, including PO, vendor bills, DD1348 forms, and other required backup. Ensure compliance with DCAA regulations and GAGAS in all financial operations. Lead implementation and optimization of NetSuite modules, reporting, and workflows to support government compliance. Identify and adopt new technologies, tools, and automation to streamline finance operations. Serve as primary liaison during DCAA audits, supporting requests and resolving findings. Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures related to government contracts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA license required. 5+ years of experience in government contract accounting and compliance. Strong knowledge of DCAA rules and GAGAS standards. Proficiency with NetSuite (must-have) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (must-have). Experience preparing Incurred Cost Submissions and Provisional Billing Rates. Familiarity with government forms and documentation (e.g., DD1348). Excellent organizational skills, detail orientation, and ability to work under deadlines. Demonstrated track record of embracing new tools and driving automation.
