This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States, Texas (USA) Senior Machine Learning / AI Engineer Location: Remote Company: Amniscient Technology: Machine Learning, Computer Vision, AI _____________________________________________________________________________ Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computer Vision/Machine Learning/AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will develop state-of-the-art computer vision models and machine learning algorithms to solve challenging problems. The role involves working with large datasets, developing AI-powered solutions, and deploying models in real-world applications. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement computer vision algorithms: Design and implement computer vision algorithms for object detection, image segmentation, facial recognition, etc. • Model training and optimization: Build and train machine learning models (e.g., neural networks, deep learning models) using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV. • Data acquisition and preprocessing: Collect and preprocess large datasets for training and testing purposes, ensuring quality and scalability. • Deploy models: Deploy AI/ML models into production environments, optimizing them for performance and scalability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with software developers, data scientists, and product managers to integrate AI capabilities into products. • Stay updated on AI trends: Continuously research and stay updated on the latest advancements in computer vision, AI, and machine learning technologies. • Documentation: Create detailed documentation of methodologies, code, and models for internal use and external presentations. • Technical Requirements: Collect technical requirements from R&D regarding upcoming new capabilities and write documentation & stories for the platform team to consume. • Lead & Mentor: Mentor other ML engineers & foster a team culture of growth & accountability. • Functional Testing & Use Case Testing: Lead testing efforts to evaluate how our models perform in real-world scenarios & lead the team in implementing POCs and tests for new use cases for our ML technology. • Platform Troubleshooting: Lead debugging & troubleshooting of ML related platform elements (including when customers report issues with their models). • Knowledge of GPU usage and optimization for ML / AI functions Qualifications Education: • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Experience: • 5-8 years of experience in AI/ML and computer vision. • Proven experience working on real-world computer vision problems. Technical Skills: • Proficiency in Python. • Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras). • Experience with OpenCV, Scikit-learn, and other computer vision libraries. • Familiarity with deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, GANs). • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) for deploying models. • Strong understanding of algorithm optimization, data structures, and programming principles. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively. • Strong communication skills to work within a team and convey technical concepts. • Ability to manage multiple tasks, conflicting priorities, and projects simultaneously. • Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals. Preferred Skills: • Familiarity with edge computing, scaling computer vision model builds, and IoT integrations. • Prior experience in deploying models on mobile or embedded systems. • Knowledge of Vision language models and agentic AI is a plus.
