The successful candidate will analyze and translate business requirements and play a key role in oral presentations of Amida's data lakehouse product to clients and stakeholders. This role will report to the General Manager. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to support public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private companies in transforming their data into actionable insights. What you will do: • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to product development • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for technical teams • Actively participate in oral presentations and product demonstrations of Amida's data lakehouse solution for clients and stakeholders • Develop business process flows, use cases, and user stories to support design and implementation • Working with Medicaid SMEs, support testing & validation activities to confirm compliance with business and Medicaid program requirements • Partner with technical teams to ensure our data lakehouse product aligns with business objectives and user needs • Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, from technical staff to senior leadership • Other duties as assigned Required Education: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Healthcare Management, or related discipline Required Experience: • At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst in healthcare IT or government programs • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Medicaid or other healthcare information systems Required Skills: • Strong knowledge of Medicaid or other healthcare information systems • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior stakeholders or external clients • Ability to understand and clearly explain technical concepts in business terms • Ability to create documentation such as BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process models Preferred: • Experience with data lakehouse or business intelligence products in healthcare/Medicaid environments • Familiarity with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), eligibility, enrollment, or claims processing systems • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Lucidchart, or Power BI/Tableau Hybrid work arrangement preferred in Glen Allen, VA. The role requires onsite presence two days per week, with an increase to three days per week starting in 2026 for employees residing within a designated radius of the office. Remote candidates will also be considered. Due to the nature of this role and its associated responsibilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
