As a Project Engineer, you’ll work directly with our client, Ingredion, to lead initiatives that make our plant safer, more efficient, and more reliable. You’ll troubleshoot, support daily operations, and deliver capital projects that cut costs, boost productivity, and drive continuous improvement. Prior experience in similar industries such as food, bev, brewing, animal nutrition, or industrial applications for plant-based materials like corn, tapioca, potatoes, and grains is required. • This position will be contract to hire, and requires that most of the work be performed onsite at the Indianapolis location. • The salary range is $85k-115k/year. • No sponsorship. No corp-to-corp. We are looking to interview qualified candidates immediately. Key Responsibilities: • Champion a zero-injury safety culture and ensure compliance with all EHS, GMP, and food safety standards. • Analyze processes and implement improvements that enhance quality, reliability, and efficiency. • Lead and execute capital projects on time and within budget. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime, optimize performance, and implement lean solutions. • Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction efforts across the plant. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred) or related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering and capital projects. • Any experience with DeltaV control systems would be preferred. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. • Knowledge of process equipment, sanitary design, P&IDs, and cGMPs. • Hands-on, collaborative, and self-driven mindset with a passion for innovation and results. • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
