Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Corporate Director, Corporate Network Management (CPNM) Communication, the Corporate Provider Communication Manager is responsible for supporting Enterprise communication tasks that impact external customers from the provider perspective, including written and online communications to physicians, hospitals, and ancillary providers for new and existing plans: engages with the enterprise to develop strategies and applicable materials for health plans to inform and educate their network on enterprise provider initiatives; assesses impact of enterprise initiatives, annual goals, or regulatory changes on providers; and consults with and supports the local Plan Provider Communications Specialist to promote the adoption of best practices to ensure consistent messaging across plans. Work Arrangement: Remote based. Principal Accountabilities: • Leads the development and execution of provider communication strategies for enterprise initiatives, creating collateral, web site content, template notices, and newsletter materials that drive engagement and support health plan goals • Develops provider materials for provider recruitment and onboarding to support network building activities and new business, such as new provider manuals, materials, and provider forms, etc. Transitions provider communication functions to local staff following implementation. • Acts as liaison between Plans and corporate partners for provider material development. • Supports and trains local Plan Provider Communications Specialists/Consultants to ensure plan goals and provider network management strategies are successfully communicated to provider network. • Collaborates across functional areas including Care Management, Quality Management and Population Health to support Enterprise implementation of programs, initiatives, products and communications that promote improved member health outcomes, support accreditation standards and advance quality performance. • Partners closely with local health plan Provider Communication Specialists to understand existing provider requirements to help local Provider Communication Specialists maintain accurate provider education and training materials and web resources. • Serves as subject matter expert for CPNM Training team in developing provider education materials for new markets that meet the overall strategy and priorities of the AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies goals and State requirements. • Acts as a supporting partner to the Provider Network Management training team to develop education programs for the PNM staff and Plan contracted providers on enterprise initiatives aligned with state requirements and health plan policies. • Collaborates, as needed, on development of Provider Network Management policies and procedures in conjunction with Corporate Director, Communications to support business requirements. • Assists Corporate Provider Network Management leadership with identifying trends to create efficiencies and improve provider satisfaction and compliance with Plan operations, payment policies, prior authorization requirements, etc. Education/ Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree required. • Demonstrating strong written communication and presentation skills and building long term relationships. • Demonstrating strong analytical skills. • Ensuring project discipline and demonstrating service discipline. • Ability to work in a matrixed environment. • Ability to: turn data into information, manage work processes, develop communications materials, conduct focused examination of conditions requiring correction, and develop a precise definition of the problem. • Minimum 3 years of experience in provider operations/relations in a health care or Managed Care Organization. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications and/or training material development.
