Department: College of Arts & Sciences Time Type: Part time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Description: Summary: Students in this position will assist the Sociology department with marketing and communications, including graphic design for promotional materials, social media posts, and department website updates. Essential Functions: Create informational flyers and pamphlets. Manage department social media. Work with Sociology Events and Communications Committee. Help plan department events. Assist with content creation and updating department website. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-time. 10 hours per week. Salary Range: $17.95 per hour. Required Education and Experience: Student at American University with an active Federal Work Study (FWS) Award. Preferred Education and Experience: Graphic design experience preferred.
