Full Description

American Traveler is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician with at least one year of hospital instrumentation experience and required certifications for a travel assignment. Requirements • High school diploma or GED, or three years of hospital instrumentation experience • Certified Central Service Technician (CCST), Certified Instrumentation Specialist Certification (CISC), or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required • Instrument Specialist Certification required or must be obtained within 6 months • BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross) • At least one year experience in sterile processing or instrument processing in a hospital setting • Good computer skills, including PowerPoint and instrumentation management systems • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • License required if applicable • COVID-19 vaccination and booster required Responsibilities • Position is in the Instrument Processing department of a hospital • Full-time schedule with available shifts: Monday to Friday, 2:45p-11:15p or 10:45p-7:15a • Works with surgical instrumentation sets and maintains equipment • Responsible for tracking lost or broken instrumentation and maintaining digital records • Performs weekly missing instrument audits as part of the team • Uses SPM and EPIC charting systems • Responsible for ensuring proper maintenance and processing of surgical instruments • Tracks and documents instrument inventory and addresses missing or damaged items • Supports the operating room team by preparing instruments and assisting as needed • Functions as a patient advocate in all assigned activities • Works independently with minimal supervision • Team-oriented role supporting optimal instrument and equipment processing • Holiday and weekend coverage is required as scheduled • Travelers can remain on assignment for up to one year, requiring a 30-60 day break before returning Benefits • High Pay and Bonuses • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options • 401(k) Plan • Weekly Payroll Deposit • Free Online CEUs • Generous Housing Allowance • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy • Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-639785 Open Positions: 6
