Full Description

Job Description: • Manage IDMS databases, ensuring optimal performance, integrity, and security • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patch updates and configuration changes • Develop and implement effective database backup and recovery strategies • Identify, diagnose, and resolve database issues in a timely manner • Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to optimize efficiency • Work with application developers and system administrators to contribute to database design and system architecture • Ensure databases comply with industry standards and security protocols • Anticipate and plan for future database capacity requirements • Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures Requirements: • 4+ years' experience as an IDMS Database Administrator • Experience and certification with COBOL a plus • DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret • CompTIA Security + certification Benefits: • Comprehensive benefits package • Healthcare benefits • Paid leave • Retirement plans • Education and training assistance
