Scientific Editor The American Society of Radiologic Technologists is seeking a scientific editor. This position assists the Publications Department by editing and steering scientific manuscripts through the publication process. Ability to write, edit, research and project manage is essential to the position. Responsibilities: • Perform substantial edits of scientific manuscripts, including analyzing, researching, fact checking, obtaining artwork, corresponding with authors, reorganizing, rewriting, ensuring continuity, correcting proofs and collaborating with others. • Facilitate subject matter reviews for Radiologic Technology short reports via the eJournalPress submission system. • Assist with publication production processes. • Maintain journal style guide. Successful Candidates Meet the Following Criteria: • Minimum of bachelor’s degree. • Knowledge of scientific journal writing, editing and production. • AMA and AP editorial style. • Medical imaging and industry practices.
