Job Title: Director of Business Services Company Overview: The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) is a leading organization dedicated to advancing the association profession through education, advocacy, and networking opportunities. ASAE Business Services, Inc. (ABSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of ASAE, focuses on delivering innovative business solutions and services that support the growth and success of associations nationwide. Role Overview: As the Director of Business Services, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic growth and expansion of ABSI's business lines. This leadership position requires a blend of entrepreneurial spirit and strategic vision to identify new opportunities and develop innovative services that meet the evolving needs of association clients. What You'll Do: - You will lead the development and expansion of new business lines to diversify ABSI's service offerings. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative business strategies. - You will manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams. - You will analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities. - You will oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of business services. - You will drive initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and service quality. - You will mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing business services unit. - You will represent ABSI at industry events and contribute to thought leadership. What You Bring: - Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, or related leadership roles. - Proven track record of successfully launching and growing new business lines. - Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders. - Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively. - Experience in the association or nonprofit sector is highly desirable. Bonus Points If You Have: - MBA or advanced degree in business or related field. - Experience with digital transformation and technology-driven business models. - Established network within the association management industry. - Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams.
