Title: Manager, Program Management Location: New York, NY or PHX, AZ (Hybrid) Reports to: VP, Digital Workplace Product Management Organization: Global Infrastructure / Digital Workplace, American Express Overview: American Express is seeking a highly motivated PM to support the Vice President of Digital Workplace Product Management. This role is designed for a strategic partner who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution—helping drive business priorities, operational excellence, and leadership alignment. The Program Manager will be a core member of the Product Management Leadership Team, enabling them to maximize impact by managing business rhythms, connecting cross-functional priorities, and ensuring successful execution of key initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Partner to Leadership – Act as a trusted advisor, helping to set priorities, track progress, and ensure alignment with enterprise goals. Business Rhythm Management – Coordinate and execute leadership routines (business reviews, staff meetings, town halls), ensuring preparation, follow-up, and high-quality outputs. Cross-Functional Alignment – Connect the dots across Digital Workplace and partner teams to drive execution of enterprise-wide initiatives. Operational Excellence – Manage tasks, reporting, and key performance metrics to monitor progress and identify areas of improvement. Transparent Management - Monitors and communicates the progress of project delivery, providing regular updates to stakeholders on cost, forecast, schedule, and risk assessment Collaborator - Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives Experience: Experience in leading in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic global environment Experience in managing/leading technology implementation projects Experience in project management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana, Excel, Tableau) Experience in business case development Experience in data analysis Experience in stakeholder management and/or leading complex governance structures Bachelor's degree in business administration and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Information Technology and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred Project Management certification preferred Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
