Ameresco has a new opportunity with our Federal team for a Sr. Project Manager to lead the execution of the construction and implementation of a $35M facility upgrade energy savings performance contract (ESPC) at the VA hospitals in Salt Lake City, Utah and Grand Junction, Colorado. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and on-site management of the construction team during the construction activities and as the project moves on through commissioning to the post-construction phases. Coordinate and directly engage with internal Engineering, Construction, Scheduling, Measurement and Verification, Commissioning, and O&M Teams during all phases of construction. Coordinate and manage vendors and subcontractors ensuring their performance, scope, cost, schedule, and quality is in accordance with Ameresco and Client requirements. Engage with stakeholders fostering positive and effective relationships through team meetings, face-to-face meetings, status updates, project reports, and online collaboration. Attend and chair weekly meetings with the owner, A/E and subcontractors. In coordination with the site superintendent, implement and execute the site safety and health plans ensuring all personnel and project operations are in compliance with jurisdictional, OSHA, and EM385 safety standards, thereby providing a safe and productive working environment. Manage project resources, change orders, project expenditures, financial documentation. Review and approve pay applications for vendors and subcontractors. Travel as necessary to support operations. Perform other duties as may be required to execute and implement all construction responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum of ten (10) years electrical, mechanical, engineering, or industrial power construction project management work experience involving facility infrastructure construction, renovations, underground piping, lighting retrofits, building controls and automation, motors and VFDs, or renewable energy technology. Experience must include a minimum of five (5) years Federal project management experience. Additional Qualifications: USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) certified. OSHA-30 or EM-385-1-1 certified Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills. Computer software proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel First Aid and CPR certified Demonstrated experience with installation and/or replacement of chillers, boilers, combined heat power plants, cogeneration, and steam distribution. Demonstrated management and completion of federal projects between $30M - $100M preferred. Computer software proficiency with Procore, or equivalent construction industry Project Management Information System. Computer software experience with MS Project, Oracle P6, PDF Software preferred. Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state.
