The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and over 6 years of professional experience in program management, stakeholder engagement, or education program development. Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in various software tools.
AACOM is seeking a full-time Program and Community Engagement Manager, Graduate Medical Education (GME) to play a pivotal role in advancing graduate medical education, strengthening the transition to residency and enhancing clinical education across the continuum. This position reports to the Vice President of GME Initiatives and is an integral member of AACOM’s GME Initiatives Department. The Manager will lead engagement, communications and programming efforts that connect stakeholders, expand educational offerings, and build national community within the osteopathic GME landscape. This individual will also manage operations and outreach for AACOM’s key membership groups—the Assembly of Osteopathic Graduate Medical Educators (AOGME) and the Council on Residency Placement (CORP)—while overseeing the Program Associate, GME role. Key responsibilities include: * Managing external engagement and partnership activities related to GME and transition to residency * Coordinating events, webinars and educational programs (virtual and in-person) * Supporting AOGME and CORP operations, including member management and communications * Leading the planning and logistics for conferences, meetings and national summits * Overseeing the development and distribution of newsletters, web content and resources * Supervising the Program Associate, GME * Tracking program metrics and evaluating impact to inform strategy * Collaborating across departments and with national organizations to advance shared goals WHO WE NEED Our ideal team member will have the following: * Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required); advanced degree preferred * 6+ years of professional experience in program management, stakeholder engagement or education program development * Experience developing and executing educational content (virtual and in-person) * Strong organizational, writing and communication skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Zoom, Salesforce, Canvas and SharePoint * Experience in meeting and event planning * Comfort engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including students, residents, faculty, and national partners * Experience managing or supporting membership groups is a plus * This position is remote with approximately 30% travel for annual conferences and events related to GME WHAT WE DO FOR YOU * Annual bonus program * 403(b) with generous 10% employer contribution * Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance * Company-provided Life, Short-Term Disability and Long-Term Disability Insurance * Flexible Spending Account * 12 annual paid holidays * Annual vacation and sick leave benefits * Professional development opportunities * And more! COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This is a full-time exempt, hybrid position with health, dental, vision, vacation, sick leave and 403(b) benefits.
