Undergraduate degree with 10+ years experience, leadership skills, excellent communication, Microsoft Office proficiency, and willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
Function of position Develops and executes a strategy for growth in the US Environment market to achieve key business objectives; develops, maintains, and advances client relationships through sales strategies and client contracts. CORE DUTIES and Responsibilities Accountable for the development and delivery of sales/business plans within sector, sells all of Amentum capabilities to clients, not solely services residing with partnered Operating Unit (OU). Partners with Vice President of Operations for Environment to deliver OU growth targets. Directs and conducts the research and analysis of business opportunities within an identified target market to ensure a continuous pipeline of sales opportunities. Assesses competition and potential markets by analyzing growth strategies. Serves as Outside Sales Lead with responsibility for proposal strategy, preparation, submittal, and/or implementation upon award for specific pursuits. Ensures consistent application of the company’s sales process, including by not limited to, compliance of corporate policies and processes and maintenance of data within CRM. Develops and approves value propositions that enhance Amentum’s competitive position and achieve client objectives. Contributes to the development of functional, regional, or global business development strategies. Evaluates key personnel for contract/task bids/proposals, establishing relationships with new clients. Generates and fosters positive client relationships. Recommends strategic hires, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures when appropriate in support of business development strategies. Provides leadership for other Business Development Directors. REQUIREMENTS • Education and Experience: Undergraduate Degree plus with 10 plus years related experience; additional education may be substituted for experience. • Technical: Capability in Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated leadership skills as evidenced by prior supervisory experience. • Language: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and other languages, as applicable). • Other: Work may be required after hours and on weekends, and sometimes on short notice.
