As an Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate entry of home health referrals and communication with care center staff. You will also utilize clinician’s state license to obtain orders for admissions when appropriate.

Requirements

The position requires two years of administrative experience in a healthcare environment and a current, unencumbered Multistate License as an RN or LPN. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is also required.

Responsibilities As an Intake Coordinator, Clinical, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate entry of home health referrals, including the review and communication with care center and business development staff, referred to Amedisys Home Health. Utilizes clinician’s state license to obtain orders for admissions when appropriate. Demonstrates strong organizational skills within a complex, fast-paced environment. • Completes work with accuracy and within assigned time frames. • Strong computer skills and adaptability to learn new systems and processes. • Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Possesses understanding of payor information including coverage criteria. • Requires minimal supervision and is self-directed. • Adheres to company infection control and safety policies, including education, reporting, and practice implementation specific to job position. • Develops cooperation and collaborative work efforts that generally benefit all involved parties. • Demonstrates the initiative to meet the needs of the organization by assisting co-workers when workload permits. • Adheres to policies and procedures and is flexible to changes in duties and responsibilities. • Excellent oral/written communication, presentation, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Qualifications Required: Two years of administrative experience in a healthcare environment. Current, unencumbered Multistate License or licensure RN or LPN. Reliable internet service and ability to work from home with minimal disruption to the workday. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred: Home health or hospice intake experience.
