(We are supporting our client, (confidential), in their search for a Marketing Director in Lisbon or in the US, seeking relocation to Portugal. Check it out!) About the Role: We are looking for a Director of Marketing to lead strategy, execution, and team growth in a fast-scaling consumer brand. This role combines customer obsession, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful marketing campaigns and product launches. You’ll own the global marketing calendar, manage brand communications, and work closely with leadership to set priorities and performance goals. This is a high-impact role with a direct path to CMO. Key Responsibilities: Customer Obsession: • Ensure seamless and aligned customer journeys from first ad impression through to post-purchase. • Deeply understand customer behavior by segment and SKU, and tailor strategies accordingly. • Build feedback loops with Customer Service and internal teams to surface first-hand insights. Data & Analytics: • Use data to uncover insights that optimize campaigns, product performance, and customer journeys. • Apply marketing analytics to drive continuous experimentation and inform decisions. Strategic Planning: • Define and manage the company-wide marketing calendar (campaigns, product drops, seasonal moments). • Lead brand communications, content, and marketing initiatives with Acquisition and Retention teams. • Partner with leadership on strategic priorities, budgets, and performance goals. Product Collaboration: • Work with Product, Science, and R&D teams on new product development and go-to-market strategies. • Support product launches with integrated marketing campaigns across email, paid, owned, and earned media. • Translate customer and market insights into actionable product feedback. 30/60/90 Day Goals: • 30 days: Gain a deep understanding of the business. • 60 days: Build a comprehensive data hub and lead marketing planning for 2026. • 90 days: Implement customer journey processes and segment/SKU-specific strategies. Team & Tools: • Initial Team: Social Media Manager (scope to build the team). • Required Skills: Data-driven mindset, customer journey mapping, strategic planning, leadership. • Tools: Shopify, Klaviyo, growth/analytics platforms.
