DESCRIPTION Amazon is seeking a high-judgment, self-motivated, and creative communications professional to join our Shopping PR team. This role can be based in Seattle, New York, or Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in communications. To be successful in this role you will need excellent communications skills, writing ability, and initiative, and to be comfortable with ambiguity and have a strong sense of ownership. You should have experience delivering results with high standards under tight deadlines, ideally in a complex organization. Key job responsibilities • Keep a finger on the pulse of industry trends and the evolving AI landscape, and develop new earned, owned, and paid communications approaches that help reach audiences • Develop, drive, and support product communications plans, programs, and content in support of Amazon’s Shopping business • Have interest in AI and other technologies that help make shopping even more convenient and fun • Provide communications counsel to business leaders • Help manage reputational issues BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience • Bachelor's degree PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge of key technology and market trends • Experience communicating complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail • Interest in technology, retail, and emerging shopping trends • Track record of exercising high judgment Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
