Description Canada Supply Chain is looking for a supply chain and engineering professional for our Capacity Planning team. This role requires analytical thinking, ability to understand complex data, diving deep through various information sources and working closely with other technical engineers and program managers to rapidly define and deliver solutions. The successful candidate will drive collaboration and raise the bar for capacity launch execution, while supporting design and process improvements for Canada Customer Fulfillment (CACF) network. This scope requires you to work cross-functionally with a variety of teams including: Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT), Global Engineering Services (GES), World Wide Design and Engineering, Real Estate, Launch, Transportation, Operations, Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), and Finance. This position involves regular interaction with senior management to communicate plans, insights, and risks/opportunities. Key job responsibilities • Generate internal project schedule for all retrofits and new FC launches in 3-year horizon. • Report to Supply Chain leadership on project status including risks, opportunities, support needed. • Partner closely with GES PMO to deep dive schedules and influence internal and external stakeholders to deliver on project milestones. Stakeholders include Real Estate, Category Procurement, Capital Planning, Construction, Worldwide Design Engineering, Startup, Ops Engineering, Launch, Operations. • Develop reporting to review lessons learned from projects with key stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement for future projects • Partner with Capital Planning to drive timely Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) submission and approval to deliver project timelines • Lead Build Requirement Specification (BRS) development workstream for all retrofit and new FC build designs with Capacity Planning, Worldwide Design Engineering, Process Engineering, Finance, and Operations • Partner with Process Engineering and Operations to lead workstream to assess mechanical throughput capacity at existing FCs and BRS database maintenance to reflect latest input variables as network evolves • Partner with Capacity network owners to develop designs to optimize unused space in existing FCs and assess bin target utilization to improve efficiency of existing storage solutions Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree • 2+ years of supply chain experience • Travel up to 30% of the time • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.) • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
