An ideal candidate has a background in supply chain strategy, vendor management, operations, logistics, or warehouse management and excellent data driven problem resolution skills. They have the ability to work with external partners/influence others, pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require solid communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Key job responsibilities - Engage in communication with customers and third-party vendors (Logistics Service Providers). - Leading large projects independently - Travel to locations throughout North America (mostly domestic USA) - Analyze data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL and/or other data management systems) and perform reporting and analysis as needed - Build and report performance metrics to assist with driving business results - Quickly and efficiently understand the business impact of observed trends and make decisions based on available data About the team The AWS Cloud Logistics team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Data Center Fulfillment Mgr to manage the day to day warehousing operations for the fastest growing industries in the world while working on projects to further enhance our operation. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Basic Qualifications: - 2+ years of program, project or product management, or leading product implementation experience - 6+ years of related industry experience - 8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience - 8+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field - Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent - Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments - Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies - Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company - Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field - Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies - Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction - Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners - Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
