Key job responsibilities We're seeking an experienced compensation leader, who is detail-oriented, analytical, and execution-focused. In this role, you’ll own and evolve the global sales compensation operation, ensure timely and accurate commission processing, clean data, and smooth plan execution. You’ll partner closely with Sales Operations, Finance, Payroll, and HR to support a scalable and compliant sales compensation program. Strategy & Program Leadership - Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize compensation processes, systems, and controls - Develop and implement best practices for commission operations across global markets - Provide thought leadership on industry trends and compensation strategy Operations & Systems Management - Own the end-to-end commission calculations and payment processes across multiple plans and territories - Lead the evaluation and implementation of compensation technology solutions (Xactly) - Design and implement automation and integration strategies across core systems - Establish KPIs and metrics to measure program effectiveness and efficiency Analytics & Insights - Develop advanced analytics and modeling to assess plan effectiveness and forecast impacts - Present strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership - Lead complex analyses to support compensation design decisions and business changes - Build predictive models to identify trends and optimization opportunities Team & Stakeholder Leadership - Serve as trusted advisor to Sales, Finance, and HR leadership on compensation matters - Drive executive-level reporting and presentations on program performance - Lead resolution of complex compensation issues and escalations Risk & Compliance Management - Establish governance framework and internal controls for compensation programs - Partner with Legal/Finance to ensure regulatory compliance across global markets - Lead audit processes and documentation requirements - Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
