Application deadline: Feb 21, 2026 This Sr. Program Manager serves as the Operational Improvement Strategist for Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) Operations, championing continuous improvement across all functions. You will engage with senior leadership to identify business critical process improvements through systematic analysis and iterative refinement, advocating for program value and business impact while driving sustainable operational excellence. Leverage customer, market and industry knowledge to make improvement recommendations grounded in continuous improvement principles. Deliver data-generated insights with potential to transform business direction through iterative learning cycles. Lead continuous process improvement by recommending enhancements, identifying new tools, and establishing feedback loops for ongoing optimization. Use data to influence business decisions through continuous measurement and refinement. Execute analyses to uncover opportunities, applying Plan-Do-Check-Act cycles to validate and scale improvements. Key job responsibilities • Solve complex analytical projects company-wide using structured continuous improvement frameworks for iterative solutions • Leverage data platforms and analytical tools to convert data into actionable insights, establishing baseline metrics and tracking improvement trends • Develop project plans with continuous improvement checkpoints, including milestones, review points, and built-in feedback mechanisms • Build automated reporting tools enabling real-time identification of improvement opportunities across WFM stores, regions, products and processes • Shape future direction of WFM retail concepts through continuous experimentation, learning, and adaptation • Develop new metrics and continuous monitoring systems identifying incremental and transformational improvement opportunities • Remain current with industry best practices and innovative approaches to operational excellence • Recommend leadership actions when data reveals unfavorable trends, applying root cause analysis with ongoing monitoring • Develop complex solutions through analysis and stakeholder coordination, piloting improvements before broader implementation and continuously refining based on results About the team The Operations Improvement Team solves complex operational challenges through disciplined continuous improvement. We apply structured, phased project management emphasizing iterative learning, rapid experimentation, and sustained improvement to deliver solutions that continuously enhance customer outcomes and operational efficiency. Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of program or project management experience - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Ability to construct, write, and deliver white papers synthesizing complex operational challenges and presenting data-driven recommendations - BA/BS degree and 6-8 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination - Comprehensive understanding of company, departmental, and Retail Operations SOPs with ability to identify improvement opportunities - Thought leadership across comprehensive data sources, applying continuous improvement thinking - Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with ability to facilitate continuous improvement discussions across stakeholder groups - Considers enterprise-wide implications, evaluating immediate impact and long-term continuous improvement potential Preferred Qualifications: - Strategic understanding of WFM's business models, objectives, competitive strengths and systemic improvement opportunities - Exceptional knowledge of WFM product mix, supply base and retail operations with continuous learning mindset - Supports 'shared fate' philosophy and continuous improvement culture - Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other formal continuous improvement methodologies - Track record implementing sustainable process improvements delivering measurable, lasting results Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
