Amazon Web Services is seeking a talented Sr. Event Program Manager with the drive and enthusiasm to manage the execution of first and third party in-person events globally. This is a unique opportunity to play a key, visible role in an exciting, fast-growing business. The Sr. Event Program Manager is a critical role in the Global Event Marketing team. The ideal candidate has a deep passion for events. They will have a hands-on approach with their event management style, will work closely with our industry, developer, and product marketing teams to plan and execute events at the highest level. They will also continuously raise the bar on the customer experience. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and have a proven track record of building and executing events first and third party events of all sizes. Key job responsibilities - Strong ability to execute events while seeking the right programmatic approach to scale - Align event activities with business priorities across stakeholder groups, including interfacing directly with industry, developer, and product marketing - Manage the event agency relationship and build processes for repeatable and scalable event activities - Execute first and third party events with operational and logistical excellence - Partner with content marketing to manage the content, speaker selection, agenda, and overall event experience with a customer obsessed mindset - Quantify business results of all activities with data-driven analysis; partner with marketing operations to ensure team has necessary reporting. - Collaborate with demand generation teams to ensure events achieve registration and attendance goals, and we delight customers by raising the bar with our post-event follow-up. - Manage budget for events you manage - Willingness to travel up to 50% Basic Qualifications: - 7+ years of marketing experience - Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Engineering or related field - 7+ years experience managing marketing events for a technology company - 7+ years of budgeting, scheduling and cost reporting experience - Experience using Salesforce Preferred Qualifications: - Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time - Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation - Experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery, or experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
