Looking for experienced software engineering manager to develop AI powered advertiser workflows for Amazon Ads. As the Software Development Manager (SDM), you will be at the forefront of advertiser experience, leading a growing team of strong engineers to delight our customers. This is high visibility role where you will have opportunity to influence and shape the way advertisers interact with DSP for campaign creation and management, optimization and gather insights to understand the efficacy of their media investment. You will be expected to drive system architecture and development through your team, make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market vs scale, and deliver code working with cross-functional teams. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and be able to cut through ambiguity and set priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level critical initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. You will be able to lead a team at scale. You will partner with product management, operations, and other technical teams internally and externally across Amazon to achieve your goals and initiatives. What about you? About the team The team is responsible for simplifying media buying experience for Amazon Ads advertisers and enable them to achieve their media buying objectives. We raise the bar not only for the experiences we own but across all advertisers workflows that impacts the trader journey. Our vision for delightful trader experience supports both simplified traditional workflows and agentic workflows that enables traders to efficiently setup, launch and achieve their delivery and performance targets, while providing industry-leading control and transparency. As part of our agentic workflow offerings we own and innovate core functionalities that enable advertisers to efficiently navigate, create, and manage campaigns using sophisticated Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic solutions. We partner with multiple teams and drive towards an unified experience for advertisers using common components and unified framework where applicable. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of engineering team management experience - 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience - 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience partnering with product or program management teams Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
