As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Legal Technology, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the processes that deliver the software systems used by Amazon Legal and our business partners worldwide. In this role, you will own and drive Legal technology related programs and projects. You will be primarily responsible for helping gather business requirements, writing user stories, and validating that customer requirements are met. You will work with software development engineers to provide tools and services that will improve the productivity of users in our Legal department and the business teams they work with. You will collaborate with software development managers to plan and execute software projects from start to finish working with teams in the agile software model. This role allows for a high degree of organization, strong communication, ownership of the solutions you launch, and the ability to make positive change every day. RESPONSIBILITIES - Builds internal customer & stakeholders relationships to manage expectations and agree on clear goals, objectives, and timelines - Builds and track project portfolio, features, milestones, & dependencies - Identifies risks and act on them to ensure the team and project are not derailed - Provides frequent meaningful updates to stakeholders and management - Works with Software Development Managers to translate department requirements into a clear software roadmap - Works closely with peer engineering teams to remove blockers and resolve technical issues - Coordinates and ensures timely support of our customers adopting our new solutions Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 3+ years of software development experience - 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
