As the Senior Analyst for spacecraft demise, you will lead all analysis efforts supporting space vehicle end-of-life atmospheric re-entry. This involves consuming design details, material properties, and mission parameters from relevant teams and then evaluating predicted vehicle breakup characteristics through re-entry. In addition, as the single-threaded process owner, you will be responsible for defining the work instruction for analysis standardization. Key job responsibilities - Develop and standard advanced analysis processes, templates, and guidelines - Perform technical analysis to verify compliance to demise/re-entry related requirements - Provide design feedback to engineering teams - Participate in relevant design reviews Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - Formal education in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, or similar. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in hypersonics, orbital/suborbital re-entry, or space vehicle demise physics - Experience with DRAMA, ORSAT, SCARAB, or similar software - Master's degree/PhD in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, or similar. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
