We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join the Kuiper Procurement Finance team, playing a pivotal role in optimizing financial planning and analysis for ASIC procurement operations. In this role, you will provide critical financial guidance and analysis that drives strategic decision-making for one of Kuiper's most complex and capital-intensive supply chain areas. You will build comprehensive financial models, create scalable processes, and deliver impactful insights that support procurement strategies for Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) that power Kuiper's satellite technology. Your analysis will directly inform procurement decisions and influence investment strategies at the highest levels of the organization. Key job responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain comprehensive financial models that evaluate ASIC procurement strategies, supplier performance, and enable data-driven decision making for multi-million dollar procurement decisions. • Develop detailed cost forecasts and budget plans for ASIC procurement that inform Kuiper's satellite production roadmap and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency gains. • Partner with ASIC procurement stakeholders to analyze and influence supplier agreements, contract structures, and pricing models, drafting written financial summaries for Kuiper leadership review. • Develop and implement scalable reporting mechanisms that provide visibility into key procurement performance indicators including purchase order tracking, inventory turnover, supplier performance metrics, and cost variance analysis for executive leadership. • Proactively identify opportunities to improve financial processes, enhance data quality, and increase operational efficiency across the Kuiper ASIC procurement organization. • Analyze potential procurement initiatives, evaluate supplier capabilities, and assess make-versus-buy decisions to support strategic planning and resource allocation decisions. • Monitor and analyze inventory performance metrics including turnover ratios, PO receipts, sub-assemblies, consumption, and various adjustments to optimize working capital management. A day in the life A day in the life Your day starts with reviewing key procurement financial metrics and preparing for a meeting with ASIC procurement partners to evaluate the financial impact of a proposed supplier agreement. You spend time analyzing contract structures, building financial models to assess total cost of ownership, and forecasting potential cost savings opportunities. You draft a financial summary on a proposed multi-year ASIC supply agreement, calling out unit economics, volume commitments, payment terms, and any supply chain risks. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree - Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control law and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
