Amazon Leo is increasing global broadband access through a constellation of over 7,000 satellites in low Earth orbit. We are seeking a visionary leader as Leo's Sr Billing Operations Product Manager. In this pivotal role, you will blend product management expertise with operational excellence to build and evolve mission-critical systems powering Leo's billing operations. You will lead a team that ensures seamless billing for Leo customers while owning the product strategy for internal operational platforms, translating stakeholder needs into product features and championing automation initiatives that support Leo's global expansion. The role requires strategic thinking and operational excellence. As the billing operations product leader, you will drive innovation in billing processes for Amazon Leo's diverse customer segments ranging from B2C consumers to B2B enterprise customers. You will ensure compliance with financial regulations while delivering exceptional customer experience across Leo's global satellite internet service. You will lead the transformation of traditional operations into product-driven solutions, creating efficient, scalable, and user-centric systems that enable rapid growth and global reach. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving innovation and operational excellence as we scale Leo's global operations. Key job responsibilities Product Strategy and Innovation • Own the product vision and roadmap for billing operational systems • Drive automation initiatives and system enhancements through partnership with Engineering • Develop strategies for new country launches and custom billing solutions • Influence product decisions for operational tools and platforms System and process design • Design and implement scalable operational workflows • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization • Create comprehensive documentation for processes and systems • Ensure compliance and risk management in operational processes Operational Leadership • Lead a high-performing team managing billing operations • Foster an inclusive environment that promotes diversity and team success • Influence hiring decisions and performance management • Create mechanisms for team engagement and professional growth • Architect scalable processes for complex B2B contracts and global billing solutions • Establish governance frameworks and documentation for operational excellence • Drive key metrics such as Billing accuracy and error rates across all customer segments (B2C, B2B, B2B2X) Cross-functional management • Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Legal, Finance, and Customer Service teams • Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable product features • Lead process optimization initiatives across organizational boundaries • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal teams and external vendors • Partner with Leo Business Customer eXperience (BCX) team to ensure seamless customer issue resolution and amplify customer voice • Influence senior stakeholders through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations specific to satellite internet service delivery • Provide regular status updates and comprehensive reporting to Leo leadership Data-Driven Decision Making • Develop and implement metrics frameworks to track operational performance across B2B and B2C • Use business intelligence to inform strategic decisions and process improvements • Leverage data analytics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities in satellite service billing • Create data-driven business cases for automation and system enhancements • Develop and maintain performance dashboards for executive reporting • Conduct root cause analysis on billing discrepancies and operational issues Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or a MBA and experience in multiple finance and accounting roles - • 8+ years of experience in operations, product management, or related fields - • Proven track record in billing operations, or similar functions - • Experience with process automation and system implementation - • Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership Preferred Qualifications: - • MBA, CPA, or relevant advanced degree - • Strong understanding of B2B/B2C billing management and billing systems - • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results - • International business operations experience - • Six Sigma certification or similar process improvement credentials - • Experience with agile methodologies - • Track record of scaling operations in high-growth environments - • 5+ years of people management experience - • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - • Exceptional written and verbal communication Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
