This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across engineering, quality, supply chain, and production teams to drive systematic improvements in manufacturing processes and systems. You will leverage data analysis skills to optimize Manufacturing Execution System (MES) productivity, manage inventory effectively, and lead process improvement initiatives that directly impact production operations. In this role, you will become a valuable liaison between various stakeholders, performing data-driven analysis to identify opportunities and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Your ability to communicate effectively with leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential as you troubleshoot inventory issues, optimize workflows, and coordinate change management activities that support Amazon Leo manufacturing operations. Key job responsibilities - Manage complex program life-cycles that impact manufacturing operations, including indirect material management, inventory optimization, and production planning by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable results. - Perform data analysis on Manufacturing Execution System (MES) productivity and compliance, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvements that enhance operational efficiency. - Lead GEMBA walks with customers and stakeholders to identify pain points, gather requirements, and implement solutions that address production challenges. - Coordinate and optimize end-user workflows for SAP/MES systems, providing systematic troubleshooting and resolving inventory or material shortage issues. - Drive process improvement projects that enhance operational excellence, working with engineering, quality, supply chain, and production teams to implement sustainable solutions. A day in the life Your day typically begins with reviewing key manufacturing metrics and identifying any urgent inventory or production issues requiring immediate attention. You'll analyze SAP and MES data to track productivity trends and compliance, then collaborate with stakeholders during scheduled GEMBA walks to observe processes first-hand. You might troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, coordinate with engineering on system improvements, or lead a process improvement project meeting. Throughout the day, you'll be the go-to person for resolving complex manufacturing system challenges, requiring you to communicate effectively across organizational boundaries. About the team The Amazon Leo OISL Production Planning and Control team is a vital component of manufacturing operations, responsible for critical functions including indirect material management, production operations project portfolio management, calibrated tooling coordination, and asset management software oversight. Our team specializes in SAP/MES system troubleshooting and workflow optimization, providing essential inventory support and systematic problem-solving. We own the 5S program implementation, coordinate change management activities across OISL production operations, and tackle material shortage challenges to ensure production continuity. We're committed to enhancing operational efficiency through continuous improvement and effective cross-functional collaboration. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of program or project management experience - 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience - 3+ years of driving process improvements experience - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules - Bachelors Degree in related field Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
