As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. You’ll get to work on projects that are fast-paced, challenging, and varied. You’ll also be able to experiment with new possibilities, take risks, and collaborate with remarkable people. We’ll look for you to bring your diverse perspectives, ideas, and skill-sets to make Prime Video even better for our customers. With global opportunities for talented technologists, you can decide where a career Prime Video Tech takes you! Do you want to take on one of the most important program leadership challenges shaping the future of movies, television, and digital video? Do you want to define and drive the next generation of how Amazon's content operations are transformed through Generative AI? Come join the Content Data Platform team to lead the inception, planning, and execution of our multi-year Generative AI operations transformation program. As a Principal Technical Program Manager and part of the Prime Video Core Operations organization, you will define the vision and roadmap for how Gen AI fundamentally reshapes our content operations. You will drive cross-functional programs that touch millions of customers worldwide and will regularly interact with senior leadership to align strategy, communicate progress, and influence investment decisions. You will be excellent at driving results across large, multi-functional programs—anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, making trade-offs, and balancing business needs against technical constraints. You will partner closely with operations, engineering, science, and product teams to translate Gen AI opportunities into concrete program plans with clear milestones, success metrics, and delivery commitments. You will identify where AI-native approaches can replace or augment manual processes, build the business case for transformation investments, and hold teams accountable for execution against committed timelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale technology programs, a strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and their operational applications, and a proven track record of delivering results in complex, matrix organizations. You should demonstrate strong technical acumen—deep enough to engage meaningfully with engineering teams on system design and architecture decisions—combined with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across organizational boundaries. Experience driving automation and operational transformation programs, particularly those involving AI/ML technologies, will be highly applicable. To accomplish this, you will be expected to have an established background in leading complex, multi-team technical programs, exceptional communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You should be somebody who enjoys navigating ambiguity, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about connecting operational challenges to scalable, AI-driven solutions that raise the bar on both customer experience and operational efficiency. Experience operating in organizations that manage large-scale content or data pipelines will be very applicable and helpful. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of content operations at Prime Video by defining how Generative AI transforms the way we work—driving step-function improvements in speed, quality, and cost efficiency across one of the world's largest entertainment platforms.
