Key job responsibilities - Partner with business leaders to drive strategic initiatives, build financial frameworks for new program launches, and provide insightful guidance that influences data-driven decision making across the organization. - Develop clear and concise financial narratives for senior leadership that articulate complex finance issues and deliver recommendations which have notable impact on long-term business goals. - Design and execute data analysis processes that are scalable and auditable, diving deep to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with internal and external policies. - Identify opportunities and implement large-scale financial solutions to proactively resolve finance issues, improve, scale, or simplify finance tools, technology, and processes across teams and organizations. - Lead individual projects from start to finish, including managing timelines, auditing quality/progress to plan, setting priorities, and resolving conflicts with minimal oversight. A day in the life Your day begins with reviewing financial performance metrics and preparing for a meeting with senior stakeholders where you'll present your latest analysis on business trends. After addressing follow-up questions and refining your recommendations, you'll collaborate with cross-functional partners to deep dive into data anomalies that could impact decision making. You might spend the afternoon working independently on developing financial models to simulate different scenarios, then close your day by mentoring team members on advanced analysis techniques or participating in a Finance community initiative. Basic Qualifications: - 1+ years of finance experience - 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience - 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) - Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills - Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting Preferred Qualifications: - 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $51,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
