Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid / Part-time or Full-time) We are seeking a highly capable Product Development Manager who combines deep beauty industry knowledge with advanced AI skills. This role requires strong analytical ability, creativity, and the capacity to use AI tools to accelerate research, insights, and concept development. You must be able to turn Amazon data, customer feedback, and market trends into clear product recommendations, competitive analysis reports, and innovative product concepts. This is a strategic role where AI + your expertise → becomes our competitive advantage. ✨ What You Will Do (Deliverables) You will deliver clear, actionable product recommendations supported by data and AI-assisted insights. 1. AI-Enhanced Competitor & Market Analysis Reports • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, etc.) to accelerate: • Amazon category trend analysis • Competitor breakdown • Review mining & pain-point extraction • Pricing, claims & positioning analysis • Produce structured reports identifying white-space opportunities • Recommend clear product directions based on insights 2. Product Innovation & Concept Development（AI + R&D） • Generate 3–5 product concepts per cycle using both AI ideation and industry expertise • Validate concepts against data, user needs, and competitive landscape • Collaborate with contract manufacturers (R&D labs) to translate ideas into formulas Deliverables include: • Product concept decks • USP & claims direction • Ingredient or formula suggestions • Sensory and performance targets 3. Product Brief Creation（Can be executed by R&D） You will create full Product Briefs AI-assisted, including: • Target user & positioning • Competitive map • Key selling points • Formula direction • Sensory guidelines • Cost targets & margin logic 4. Collaboration With R&D Team / Contract Manufacturers • Interpret AI-generated insights for chemists • Work with labs to refine formulas • Review samples & drive iteration • Manage timelines from concept → lab samples → production 5. AI-Supported Launch Strategy • Build claims, messaging, and content angles (Amazon + TikTok) • Identify what visuals and hooks will resonate most • Use AI to create early content frameworks ✨ AI Skill Requirements（Must-Have） Candidates must be highly proficient in using AI tools to accelerate product development: Tools you should know: • ChatGPT / Claude / Perplexity • AI review-analysis / summarization tools • AI spreadsheet & insight generation tools • Prompt engineering basics • Ability to turn AI output into professional reports You must be able to: • Extract insights from thousands of customer reviews using AI • Generate first-pass concepts & formulas (AI-assisted) • Build competitor matrices with AI • Create trend & opportunity reports with AI • Use AI to speed up documentation & decision-making ✨ Engagement & Payment Structure（Important）Phase 1 — Project-Based Trial All candidates complete a paid trial project with deliverables: • AI-supported Amazon competitor analysis • Review mining summary • 2–3 innovation concepts Phase 2 — Ongoing Engagement After a successful trial: • Monthly retainer (part-time OK) • Additional project-based compensation for major deliverables (Full-time possible if both sides agree.) ✨ What We’re Looking For • 3–7+ years experience in beauty product development • Strong understanding of Amazon beauty products • Ability to synthesize AI insights + industry judgment • Experience with contract manufacturers (skincare, haircare, body care) • Excellent analytical & report writing skills • Strong sense of aesthetic and consumer psychology Bonus: • Experience launching TikTok-driven products • Experience evaluating formulas or working with chemists ✨ How to Apply Please submit: • Resume • Examples of past product reports or concept decks • Brief AI-generated analysis: • Pick any Amazon beauty product • Summarize top complaints (AI-assisted allowed) • Suggest 1–2 product improvements •
