Security Clearance: Public Trust Location: Remote Job Type: Full-Time Target Salary Range*: $90,000-$125,000 • This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary Position Overview: The Amatriot Group is seeking an experienced Business Analytics Architect to support a high-profile modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in integrating Power BI and Tableau reporting solutions into a newly developed application that supports veterans’ benefits claims processing. This position requires deep technical knowledge of both Tableau and Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, and visualization integration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering robust, scalable BI solutions within a federal or enterprise setting. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement dashboards, visualizations, and reports using Power BI and Tableau • Design and build SQL-driven analytical data layers that power enterprise dashboards, visualizations, and reporting • Integrate BI tools into the VA’s modernized claims processing system • Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and business analysts to define data requirements and visualization strategies • Optimize reporting performance and usability for VA users • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and accessibility requirements • Participate in Agile development cycles and technical solutioning discussions • Support the onboarding and mentoring of junior BI team members Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience (preferably 10+) developing enterprise-grade reporting solutions using both Power BI and Tableau • Proficiency in SQL and advanced data modeling, with the ability to build operational data models and intermediate analytical layers for modern reporting and dashboards • Experience integrating BI tools within web-based applications • Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS or Azure) • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team setting • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance • Experience with DevOps, Agile/Scrum, or CI/CD environments • Demonstrated familiarity with APIs and REST methodologies for data ingestion and system integration Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting U.S. Federal Government agencies, particularly the VA • Familiarity with data security standards in federal systems • Prior work on large-scale application modernization initiatives • Ability to leverage Python, R, Scala, or similar languages for data preparation, analytics, and modeling
