Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchaser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and the ability to source and negotiate contracts with suppliers. Our company is a hybrid with manufacturing and construction and experience is critical. Duties • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives. • Manage the sourcing process for materials and services, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations. • Source new suppliers and when necessary, negotiate contracts. • Utilize ERP systems for procurement management and tracking. • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve supply chain issues and improve processes. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, production planning, and field installation to ensure material is received on time. • Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure quality standards are met. • Oversee category management initiatives to optimize purchasing strategies across various product lines. • Analyze market trends to inform sourcing decisions and pricing strategies. • Work with inventory management to perform cycle counts to ensure material status within the ERP system is up to date and accurate. Experience • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement management within a manufacturing environment. • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices. • Familiarity with MRP systems and logistics operations. • Demonstrated ability in supplier management. • Experience with quality management processes related to procurement. • Proficient in using ERP systems for purchasing activities. • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. • We invite qualified candidates who are passionate about procurement and supply chain excellence to apply for this exciting opportunity.
