About Altumatim Altumatim is building the first-ever investigative LLM Operating System (AltumatimOS), powered by intelligent “super agents” that autonomously uncover critical insights from any dataset. Our platform transforms complex legal information into clear, compelling stories—fast, secure, and scalable. Founded in 2022 in Birmingham, AL, we’re a fast-growing legal-tech startup operating at the intersection of AI, law, and cloud-native software. The Role We’re looking for a Frontend React Developer with strong UI/UX sensibilities to shape the AltumatimOS user experience. This role goes beyond writing code—you’ll have creative freedom to design and implement user interfaces that are not only functional but beautiful, intuitive, and engaging. You’ll collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to bring our AI-driven features to life in a way that feels seamless and human-centered. Key Responsibilities • Develop elegant, responsive interfaces using React.js and modern frontend tooling. • Work closely with product and design teams to transform wireframes into polished, user-friendly experiences. • Bring creativity to UI/UX challenges—simplifying complex workflows for clarity and usability. • Ensure consistency and scalability through design systems and reusable components. • Optimize performance across browsers and devices. • Participate in Agile development cycles, using Jira for planning and tracking. • Contribute to product ideation with an eye toward usability and aesthetic impact. Qualifications • 3+ years of professional experience in frontend development. • Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript. • Proven experience designing and implementing UI/UX-focused features. • Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar). • Expertise in CSS frameworks (Tailwind, styled-components, or CSS-in-JS). • Solid understanding of RESTful API integration. • Experience working in Agile teams and using Jira. • Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX creativity and frontend craft. Nice-to-Haves • Experience with Next.js for server-side rendering and SEO. • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design. • Background in user research or design thinking methodologies. • Exposure to cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP). Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred (not required). • Equivalent professional experience will be considered in place of formal education. • Certifications are a plus but not required: • Frontend or Web Development certifications (e.g., W3C, FreeCodeCamp, or vendor-backed). • UI/UX design certifications (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group, Google UX Design Certificate). • Cloud certifications (AWS or GCP) are a bonus if you have exposure to full-stack or cloud-integrated workflows.
