The Senior Systems Architect will provide technical leadership and architectural direction for our hybrid cloud and identity platforms. This role is responsible for shaping longterm strategy, defining standards, and guiding engineering teams in the design and deployment of secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions across Azure and enterprise Windows environments. You will focus on: Serve as the architectural authority for Azure, hybrid identity, and Windows infrastructure platforms—defining vision, standards, and technical roadmaps. Lead the design and implementation of Azure-based architectures, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, security, and adherence to architectural best practices. Architect and oversee complex Hybrid Windows Identity systems, including: Entra ID, Entra Connect / AAD Connect, Multi-domain Windows AD forests Provide top-level expertise for Windows Server environments, including Group Policy architecture, domain services, and enterprise systems design. Set standards and drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including AzureRM and azapi providers; champion Terragrunt where appropriate. Author advanced PowerShell modules, automation frameworks, and lifecycle management scripts for complex enterprise environments. Lead architectural patterns for application packaging, deployment, and automation, enabling scalable, repeatable rollouts across the enterprise. Provide senior-level guidance on SAML and OIDC integrations across Entra ID, Okta, and other identity providers. Partner with security, networking, DevOps, and application leaders to ensure architectural alignment and governance. Mentor engineers, perform design reviews, and elevate engineering quality while fostering a culture of automation, reliability, and secure design. Serve as a technical advisor for leadership, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations. The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. AWS & Azure experience at a principal or architect level; Associate or Expert level certifications in either, but Azure preferred 4+ years deep experience architecting solutions in Azure. Hybrid Windows Identity expertise, including: Entra ID, Entra Connect / AAD Connect, Multi-Domain or multi-forest Active Directory 5+ years architecting and supporting Windows Server and AD infrastructure, including: Group Policy architecture, AD Sites & Services, Domain trust design 5+ years PowerShell experience with ability to build: Advanced AD automation, Reusable modules, Deployment workflows Experience packaging and deploying Windows applications at scale (enterprise deployment toolsets, scripting, MSI/EXE automation, etc.). Hands-on experience integrating and supporting SAML and OIDC across: Entra ID, Okta The Base Salary for this position is $129,000 - $154,800/year In addition, we provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
