Role Overview: As a Healthcare Customer Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting a leading health insurance customer by ensuring members receive timely and accurate assistance. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional service and resolving inquiries efficiently in a remote work environment. What You'll Do: - You will respond promptly to member inquiries via phone, email, and chat, providing clear and accurate information. - You will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to health insurance coverage, claims, and benefits. - You will document all interactions and maintain detailed records in the customer support system. - You will collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex member concerns. - You will stay updated on healthcare policies, insurance products, and regulatory requirements. - You will contribute to process improvements to enhance member satisfaction and operational efficiency. - You will maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times. What You Bring: - Minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare customer support or related roles. - Strong knowledge of health insurance terminology, claims processing, and benefits administration. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proficiency with customer support software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time management skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with health insurance providers or managed care organizations. - Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations. - Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish. - Prior experience in a contract or remote customer service role.
