Job Title: Embedded Engineer Company Overview: ALTA IT Services is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions specializing in defense and aerospace sectors. Role Overview: As an Embedded Engineer at ALTA IT Services, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and testing embedded software for next-generation drone-based electronic systems. This position offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact defense solutions. What You'll Do: - You will design and implement embedded software for real-time drone systems. - You will collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software and hardware components. - You will develop and execute test plans to ensure system reliability and performance. - You will troubleshoot and debug embedded systems to resolve issues efficiently. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes. - You will document software designs, test results, and system specifications. - You will support the deployment and maintenance of embedded systems in operational environments. What You Bring: - You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - You have 3+ years of experience in embedded software development. - You have strong proficiency in C/C++ programming languages. - You have experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux. - You have knowledge of hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN. - You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in defense or aerospace industries. - Familiarity with drone technologies and electronic warfare systems. - Security clearance or the ability to obtain one. - Experience with Agile development methodologies.
