Vice President of Information Technology Schedules: • Preferably looking for a candidate local to Franklin, TN area. However, we are open to remote/hybrid work for the rigfht candidate. • Typical hours are Monday - Friday with on-call responsibilities. Company Overview: Our company operates Residential Treatment Programs for individuals with Substance Abuse Disorder. We seek not merely to restore sobriety but to transform our patients’ worlds from a state of everlasting darkness to vibrant technicolor. We believe treatment is local, individualized, holistic, and relational. We are currently in several states and rapidly growing nationally. Summary: The Vice President of Information Technology (VP of IT) is the senior executive responsible for the organization’s overall technology vision, strategy, and execution. This role provides enterprise-wide leadership for IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, data architecture, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. The VP of Information Technology ensures technology enables safe, compliant, and efficient clinical care, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and scalable growth across a multi-site healthcare organization. The VP of Information Technology owns the organization’s data strategy and analytics framework, ensuring data integrity, governance, and actionable insights for executive decision-making, while overseeing operational execution through IT leadership and system administrators. Essential Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Governance: • Develop and execute a multi-year IT and digital strategy aligned with organizational goals and growth plans • Establish IT governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls • Serve as executive owner of cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, security risk assessments) • Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation and system modernization initiatives Enterprise Systems & Infrastructure: • Oversee architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of all enterprise systems including EMR, CRM, billing, finance, HRIS, and collaboration platforms • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for all critical systems • Approve system integrations, architecture designs, and major configuration changes Data, Analytics & Reporting: • Own enterprise data strategy, governance, architecture, and quality standards • Oversee data warehousing, analytics platforms, dashboards, and executive reporting • Define organizational KPIs and ensure reliable, timely reporting across clinical, operational, and financial domains • Ensure compliant and secure use of healthcare data Financial & Vendor Management: • Develop and manage the IT operating and capital budgets • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management • Evaluate ROI and risk for all major technology investments People Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership: • Build, mentor, and lead IT, data, and systems teams • Establish performance expectations, succession planning, and professional development • Partner with Clinical, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Revenue Cycle leadership to align technology with business needs Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • =99.9% uptime for critical clinical and business systems • Zero material IT-related HIPAA or 42 CFR Part 2 violations • =90% of major IT initiatives delivered on time and within budget • Executive dashboards delivered accurately and on schedule • IT spend maintained within approved budget with documented ROI • Strong IT team retention, engagement, and performance outcomes Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred) • 10+ years progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles • Demonstrated experience in healthcare IT environments and EMR ecosystems • Strong knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, cybersecurity frameworks, and healthcare regulations • Proven success leading enterprise systems, data architecture, analytics, and digital transformation • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills We respect the time and energy it takes to apply for the next step on your career path and will make every effort to contact you promptly after receiving your application.
