ALS United's Mission To unite the ALS community in our collaborative approach to foster bold research initiatives, advance national and state advocacy efforts, and provide comprehensive care and support to individuals and families affected by ALS. ALS United's Structure • Work Remotely • Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm CST • Evening and weekend commitments are imminent • Attendance is required at all ALS United Greater Chicago Chicago-based events Key Responsibilities: Walk ALS Chicago • Produces all elements of Walk ALS Chicago: recruitment, retention, sponsorship, logistics, communication, stewardship, etc. • Engage members of the ALS community Team ALS • Supports Team ALS through runner outreach, fundraising support, and incentive fulfillment • Procurement of marathon weekend volunteers LG4 Day (Lou Gehrig Day) • Spearhead LG4 Day with Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs including tickets, gathering space, volunteers, communication, etc. Additional Event Support • First Look for Charity • Bark ALS • The ALS Classic • Chicagoland DIY Fundraising Program Requirements: • 5+ years of progressive peer-to-peer fundraising experience • 3 years active in a large scale Walk or Run program • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Blackbaud, Raisers Edge, WordPress • Willingness to work evenings and weekends for special projects and/or events • Based in Greater Chicagoland Ideal Candidate Attributes: • Self-Starter • Idea Generator • Goal Motivated • Passionate • Creative • Team Player • Genuine Networker How to Apply: Kendra Albers, Vice President of Development, kendra@alsunitedchicago.org
