Job Description: Job Purpose: Procurement Analyst is responsible for analyzing and improving an organization's procurement processes. They ensure that the company obtains the best possible products and services at competitive prices. This role requires a deep understanding of the supply chain, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze complex data to inform budgetary and purchasing strategies. By closely collaborating with other departments, Procurement Analysts help drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall organizational performance. Description of Essential Duties: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings Manage the supplier selection process, including requests for proposals (RFPs) and contract negotiations Analyze procurement data to monitor spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide appropriate support Maintain accurate records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices Oversee supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies Assist in budgeting and forecasting to align procurement activities with financial objectives Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers Prepare procurement reports and presentations for senior management Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department Other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field Experience using procurement software and tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent negotiation and communication abilities Proven track record of achieving cost savings in procurement Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Familiarity with contract law and vendor management practices Experience with international procurement and global supply chains Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Knowledge of procurement principles and best practices Experience with ERP systems and procurement software Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to analyze and interpret large sets of data Understanding of inventory management principles Alphia is an equal opportunity employer.
