Location: Durham, NC (Remote) Client Industry: Medical & Pharmaceutical Pay Range: $65 – $69/hour 🌐 About the Role Alphanumeric is hiring a Buying Content Manager to support a long-standing client committed to improving lives through medical and pharmaceutical advancements. This role sits within the Procurement Buying Goods & Services (BG&S) team, which oversees global strategy, governance, and process improvement across procurement operations. The BG&S process impacts: • 400+ procurement employees • 15,000 shoppers • 38,000 suppliers The Buying Content Manager will play a key role in enhancing the employee shopping experience and ensuring compliance across procurement channels. 🎯 Key Responsibilities • Implement Buying Channel Vision Enable “shoppable content” in the Ariba Guided Buying module by collaborating with category managers and stakeholders. • Channel Optimization & Governance Activate and optimize buying channels per category, ensuring alignment with business needs and governance standards. • Solution Management Leverage internal or third-party solutions (e.g., catalogs, marketplaces, tail spend tools) to improve procurement efficiency. • Performance Monitoring Establish KPIs and governance frameworks to assess channel performance and identify improvement opportunities. • Customer Feedback & Continuous Improvement Gather stakeholder input and apply a continuous improvement cycle to enhance the buying experience. • Change Management & Adoption Drive adoption across shopper and procurement teams. Develop and maintain training materials and support documentation. • Benchmarking & Best Practices Stay informed on internal and external trends to ensure best-in-class procurement practices. • Strategic Support Contribute to strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions affecting BG&S content and systems. • Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with BG&S Global Process Owners (GPOs), regional category teams, and leadership to align strategies. ✅ Requirements • Must be eligible to work under a W2 contract • 5+ years of experience as a Purchasing Manager in media or e-commerce environments • Direct experience working within the Pharmaceutical industry • Strong understanding of procurement processes and buying channel strategies • Familiarity with Ariba Guided Buying or similar procurement platforms • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking and continuous improvement • Ability to work cross-functionally in a global, matrixed organization
