Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within a busy warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, materials handling, and safety protocols. Previous experience with warehouse management systems and RF scanners is highly preferred. The Forklift Operator will play a critical role in maintaining smooth shipping and receiving operations while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. Responsibilities • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload goods • Pick orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems • Load and unload materials from trucks, storage areas, and production lines • Assist with order picking and inventory management tasks • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning • Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies during operations • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow • Perform mechanical troubleshooting or minor repairs on equipment as needed • Assist in shipping & receiving activities, including documentation and inventory updates Experience • Prior experience in warehouse distribution or shipping & receiving preferred • Experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment required • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners is advantageous • Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling • Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus • Experience with order picker operations or picker systems is beneficial • Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles are considered an asset • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods This position offers an opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience or heavy equipment operation skills to contribute to a dynamic logistics team.
