Job Description The Allstate Individual Health Financial Sr Consultant analyzes and communicates financial results to business partners for key products, markets and initiatives, develops in-depth story lines to deepen client insights, and recommends creative actions to guide strategy and operations. This role formulates financial projections to predict and track performance, diagnose potential issues and prompt corrective actions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Isolate financial key drivers, quantify impacts, and forecast implications to the business recognizing how different data points fit together and integrating cross functional knowledge and/or sources • Collaborate with business partners to understand underlying trends and initiatives and build comprehensive storylines to explain financial results • Manage analysis projects of low to moderate complexity, addressing ambiguous business issues • Use analysis to influence and drive action within finance, leadership and our business partners by using fact-based, holistic and forward-looking perspectives to identify emerging issues and current trends, and assist in implementation of strategies • Provide accurate, timely reports with financial insight to support business partner decisions and performance improvement • Develop and participate in effective presentations • SQL Data Extraction & Filtering: The ability to use SELECT statements to pull specific data and WHERE clauses to filter relevant information, such as sales by country or profit by product. • SQL Data Transformation: Using functions to clean, re-format, and convert data types, such as extracting years and months from date columns. Joining Multiple Tables: Combining data from different sources, like transaction data with market data, to gain a comprehensive view of financial performance. • SQL Data Aggregation and basic calculation: Using GROUP BY clauses and functions like SUM() and AVG() to calculate total revenue, profit margins, or other key financial metrics. • SQL Complex Queries: Writing more advanced queries with conditional logic (like CASE statements) to analyze trends, identify high-cost products, or perform customer segmentation SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • This job does not have supervisory duties. EXPERIENCE: • 3 or more years of experience (Preferred) FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:: • Advanced business knowledge (i.e., deep financial skills/flow of the numbers) • Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts • Advanced analytical and financial model building skills • Intermediate consulting skills • Strong oral and written communication skills, able to work effectively with employees both internal and external to the finance function • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment • Advanced time management skills and organization skills with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business • Inspire trust and confidence in clients through strategic and diplomatic handling of relationships • Intellectual curiosity and drive for continuous improvement, both personally and with work assignments • SAP S/4Hana, SQL, Advanced Excel, Power BI, Essbase, Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Skills Business Problems, Business Storytelling, Collaborating, Financial Analysis, Financial Forecasting, Financial Statement Analysis, Microsoft Excel, Trend Analysis, Variance Analysis Compensation Compensation offered for this role is 65,600.00 - 110,075.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
