Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Perimeter Sweep in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet staff and visitors with professional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations while supporting day-to-day operations. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, verifying credentials, directing guests, and reporting access concerns per post orders. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts as required. Complete routine reporting such as activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation, and communicate key information during shift changes. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1+ years of security experience. Be at least 21+ years of age. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Having a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Having customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
