Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Gate Checks in Summit, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will make routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and watch for security-related concerns such as unusual activity or maintenance issues. You will greet tenants and visitors, provide clear communication, and document observations with attention to detail. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to tenants, employees, visitors and/or contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location. Control access at entrances and designated points by checking identification, issuing visitor passes, directing deliveries, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior spaces, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and local emergency services when required. Complete timely reports and logs, communicate observations during shift turnover, and monitor cameras and/or other systems as assigned to support security-related operations. Minimum Requirements: A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
